(Did Garret marry twice or not? If he married a
Catherine Smith in 1823, she could well be the mother of all four children. It
would also seem oddly coincidental that he married a Catherine Smith and a
Catherine [Morrell] Smith. Perhaps we will find out that he married but once and
that all four children are parented by Garret and Catherine.0
